Well all I can say, atomic idiot, is your wish is my command.

You seem completely incapable of respecting the friendly, and family, spirit of this club.

#482882 Your New Look Staff Team

Posted by Martin C on 23 August 2014 - 20:32

It is with regret that I have to announce that Mark (2STROKECORKY) has resigned from his position on the Staff Team.

I would personally like to thank Mark for all his help and wish him well.

Following the recent advertisement for new Staff members (to replace Jonathan and Mike O) I am pleased to report that we had some very good interest, and we would like to thank all that applied.

After much discussion, it was decided that the calibre of the first successful applicant was such that we felt it necessary to only appoint one new member of Staff.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to your newest member of the Staff Team... <Neil>

I would like to offer my personal congratulations to Neil, and wish him the very best of luck with the new role... Well Done Mate

#411753 Fordfair 2014 - The Chat Thread

Posted by stevie-m on 31 May 2014 - 14:05

Whenever I think about FordFair I always think back to when it was 1992 at Stanford hall. I took my son (who was only 3 months old at the time) and he lost his little teddy.
I wrote to Fast Ford magazine and appealed for anyone who may of picked it up to send it to them so they could forward it on to me.
In the next months issue there was a little write up in the editors column about some cars where pinched from the car park and also at the bottom it read, "another Ford fan who had his day spoilt was young master Nicholas Melson who must rank as one of our youngest fans lost his little brown teddy bear. If anyone picked it up could they please forward it........blah blah".
A couple of weeks later we received a parcel and inside was a little brown bear and a letter from Turbo Technics saying how sorry they were to hear of our sons plight and sent the bear for him. We still have it. Nice touch from them. :)

#1051482 Where's it all gone wrong? and how do we fix it??

Posted by Justcos on 15 May 2017 - 20:42

I just think if you truly support the club and people who are in it you'll stick around and do so! I've seen people on here who have been reps for certain areas and then stepped down because of "family commitments " and such like but then accepted similar roles in different clubs cause their pals are on that so much better club. I'm from Scotland and come on here everyday I try and attend the big shows I'm probably the furthest away from everyone and can't attend local meets but would love to. And still I stick around because I support the club I could join a local group to me and probably get more from it but I don't because I support this club. Yes it's went abit stale on here but I'm not gonna join another club and then tell people how :censored: it is on MSTOC why? Oh yeah cause I support the club! And obviously the last time jack spoke about an issue he had with a FB group people who don't come on here very much suddenly appeared to say their piece! Obviously people are carrying tales between the clubs. The question of how do we fix it is simple there is nothing to fix the club is fine and the true supporters will stay and make it better and it's as simple as that. This is just my opinion of course :yep:

#1030297 A massive thanks to a top bloke

Posted by Jcst200jc on 01 April 2017 - 16:36

Well where do I start......... I needed to sell my st200 as it was a massive weight on my finances and I ended up keeping it and getting another st! A 54 plate st tdci.

The st200 has been parked up, with the intention of forgetting about it for a couple of years till my little family's financial situation changes. I ended up selling none of the parts and will keep it this way unless everything changes again but will be keeping the shell no matter what.

Now the new oil burner is a pleasure to drive and I have to be careful with my right foot! It goes, it stops and everything works as it should.

@rs1800dom is a top bloke and has let me have this with an affordable amount paid to him. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done and I will be forever grateful to him.

A few weeks ago I read a topic about where this club has gone wrong. Well I for one think with people like Dom and yourselves in this club I think this is what makes this a great place to be.

Dom you are a star and if can ever help you, I certainly will mate, thanks again

And thanks to @Neil for the ride up to Basingstoke in the white estate! She does sound/go well bud

#953785 Goodbye Parma.... Hello SUMA!

Posted by Marky Voodoo on 18 September 2016 - 16:54

Good evening folks.

I hope you're all well?

So as some of you may have been aware I've been a little quiet on the scene recently.. well rest assured I have been a busy lad behind the curtains..

After many awesome shows this year I found myself stumbling upon more and more purple.. now those who know me know I was mad for the purple colour.. but with every show that came and went I found myself coming away wanting to do something a little different. Now I've always had the orange idea in my head since I've owned my 220 and after selling a few hobby bits I sat down and put the wheels in motion..

Sat down with the daughters pencils and got too work sketching some ideas. Purple and orange just wasn't going to work.. lol! After much deliberation I decided on two ford colours..

Vista phoenix orange
Magnum metallic grey

Both colours complimented each other really well in my eyes and I set about creating my new scheme..

Now first up was a terraclean treatment for the old girl which I will say has given her a new lease of life! Cost me round 180 quid with a new fuel filter and it's probably the best money I've spent on her in a long time. Absolutely amazed! ☺

Next up was the installation of a bluefin superchip. Kindly donated to me by the legend that is @Neil

She has honestly never felt as responsive or fast!

I tackled the interior first..

First up was off with the purple wrap and on with some new orange carbon and a new custom made gearstick gator finished in grey leather with orange logo and stitching..

After that it was on with a few other bits inside..

I had some custom gels made up in orange and metallic grey.. And also some orange ST logos for my side stripes.

Within a couple of weeks I was happy with the interior and then the exterior started.

Gels on along with some freshly pressed plates and a few other goodies.

It was then on with my favourite bit.. her bay... now this took time... a whole lot of time.. every night after work whilst the wife was at work I set myself a task.. rub down a cover.. mask up.. prime, paint, rub down etc etc..

Took my time and here's some pics of the process..

Then I removed my blue and installed some orange fog light halos.

Attached File  20160910_175829.jpg   97.42KB   0 downloadsAttached File  20160910_175859.jpg   113.52KB   0 downloads

Then It was time to rebuild the bay.. but first a coat of silver hammerite smooth over the purple manifold..

A cheeky few vinyls here and there and a new set of orange anodised aluminium bolts and washers.

And here's the pics...

I still have a fair bit to do with a orange induction hose on the cards along with the under car lighting being changed from blue to orange,
And also the calpiers being done in bright orange..

But next week she is back into top gear at Bridport for a centre box delete and a change of names on the tips.

All in all I'm one happy lad.. tired from it but chuffed to bits.

Thanks for reading guys.. and thanks for all those that kept it stum. I just wanted to make sure it came out ok before going public..

Enjoy rest of your Sunday.

Marky V and SUMA!

Today I have a job interview (my first in over 20 years), feeling kind of apprehensive, and slightly anxious that I can't sleep :(
No, it's not at the BBC

Today I got a call to let me know that I got the job, just waiting for HR to rubber stamp the formal offer.
Time to say hello to a minimum £6k a year pay rise :D

#494866 Some swift justice on the A20 (Sidcup Bypass)...LOL

Posted by Gizzard Puke on 10 September 2014 - 20:22

In between the slip road for those coming out of Orpington and the slip road onto the Sidcup exit, I was trundling along overtaking some other cars when a brand new merc 4x4 vehicle came right up behind me, started to tailgate me and flashing his/her lights. After I passed the cars, I moved over to let the twit past. He/she then did it again to a van which also moved over. Next thing I know, a BMW 4x4 cop car came past me and proceeded to pull over the idiot in the was a most excellent sight, I can tell you. :)

I couldn't stop LOL-ing!

Posted by Stuey D on 19 March 2017 - 20:07

I can't believe anyone would find this forum cliquey?? That's one word I would never use to describe it!!

If people tried attending as many regional meets and shows as possible, they would find it's a great way to make some like minded friends. I've made some good friends on here who I still meet up with (and even go on 'Ring trips with!) and I haven't owned my Mondeo for nearly 2 years now!

Just a suggestion - photo of the month always seemed to create a fair bit of interest, and gave everyone an excuse to post up pics of their pride and joy? Why not start this again?
