I currently own an ST24, and also, more recently acquired an ST220 estate.

I am looking to buy a parts bin that will serve the pair of them.
Its a 2001 Mondeo ghia x 2.5 estate.

My idea is to rip the engine out, guy it and rebuild it, and replace the engine in the ST24......meanwhile, stripping the estate body of all useful kit to provide the ST220 with spares (windows, switches, consumables, etc) and sell the rest as spares.

as far as I am aware, the 2.5 V6 is the same engine regardless of the platform it sits in?
Is this correct?

TIA

Just about, the Mk3 won't have the EGR like the ST24, The cats and exhaust might be slightly different, that's it as far as I know.

Then you'll be fine.
