I am relatively new here,
Got myself an 04 220 estate, and an 01 ST24......

Currently, the 220 is all good apart from needing a replacement OS wishbone, ( I pierced it when installing ) and a replacement battery along the line.

My ST24 has knocking up front, I think top mount or dampers, so potentially sticking coilies on it, and a repair to the exhaust centre section is needed for its MoT

Hi Mark,

I've been here around 9 month now, purchased my sloon late last year and loved every minute since purchasing, just like most probably go through I've had the (wtf am I doing) moments while working on him.

But I've now took the plunge to start dailying my mondog and want to really see how far this car can go in the next 5 to 10 year (who knows)

I've just had all the shocks replaced and 2 new wishbones at the front, mainly I'll spend my time removing plastic arch trim and painting up all the under neath plus wax oil etc

Lots of fiddly jobs and hours under the car but there are worse things to do

Looking forward to seeing what you have purchased

Cheers

Royle

Hi,

I'm a new kid, had my 07 ST220 just over a month, purchased as my daily to try and keep the mileage down on my other two.

To date - refurbished sub-frame and three small oil leaks repaired, I think the steering rack could be next but other than that all seems good after my first 1100 miles and I must admit, I've loved each and every one!

@KevinG Oil leaks on the 220. Had my fair share of them. Rear bank and oil filter are most common I have found. Make sure you keep a close eye on oil levels until you sort them mate. Was it front or rear subframe? Did you polybush at the same time?

@Royle_STV6 looks a nice beast mate. Always lovely working on your own motor and the satisfaction that comes from it. We are entering the era of rust now 🙈 due to age good shout on getting ahead of that one mate. All my beaSTs so far I used as dailys and couldnt fault them. This one coming Im not so sure 🙈. Might get another to daily lol. Look forward to seeing progress posts 😊

@Sparkey321 nice collection there mate. What colours? I love the ST24 unfortunately I dont have enough spare time to own one and keep it on the road 😂

nice to see new members on here. Love the Facebook groups but MSTOC is my club so where abouts in the world is everyone from. Im Midlands myself (near the welsh border. But not welsh 😂 )

@markjlev Oil leaks are fixed, they were only very minor but thought i'd try to get ahead of the game. Subframe was the rear and yes poly bushed at  the same time  :nice:

@markjlev,
Im A soft southerner, Portsmouth way 👍
My ST24 is in moondust silver, one of the last ST24s registered on a Y plate.

And the 220 is in black, which today, I have just been replacing the O/S wishbone, with a Febi unit, to replace one that was leaking......and the new one is leaking also 🤬

Love the 24 in that colour mate. Surprised they havent started bumping a little in value yet the 220 seems to be holding a decent average with the occasional one commanding a higher price.

ST24s were a bit of a slow starter, a 3 legged greyhound.....the whole reason for the st200s were built was to keep up with the competition.

I dont think they will ever really go up in value, the st200s certainly will though.

However, I love the old girl, and Ive even got a donor engine for it in the version of a mk3 ghia x estate that my dad is currently running.

Its a bit of a running project, as I dont have a garage to give it, but sills were done last year, next to be done will be boot floor, however, I am thinking of levelling it, and losing the spare wheel well 🤷‍♂

I'm from gods own back garden, Yorkshire. Wakefield in particular. I see the odd ST220 about round here but don't think any of them are on the forum.

I've some of the above issues, had an oil leak but my car covered only 400 mile in 3 to 4 years before I got him, after being used daily this appears to have cleared up (possibly sweating)

EML on due to o2 sensors, but not causing any issues as pulls like a train and getting great MPG of around 33 average so all seems fine (for now)

It's only me!

Been here a long time! I have 2 cars and both score less than a GCSE grade F.

The 200's not broken but there has to be a lot of metal missing due to tin worm, sat warm and dry in a garage waiting for more money, tools and time!

The TDCi, well battered and bruised, has been used as a parts donor for a White 220 and doesn't even have it's original engine. Has since been a victim of a prat in a Skoda with my insurance company being a massive let down and clocking up a 1,000 miles a month :(

This is them in better days....
