Hi everyone
About 8 years ago I had a 2005 Mondeo st tdci, in the end the injectors went and it sat about for a year or more till I sold parts and it went to car heaven. Iv now got a new job up the road and now need a car so the st220 it is. Iv seen a nice 74,000mile one on a 2005 plate im going to look at Sunday. Anyone got any extra info to look out for that I may not know about the 220?

Plus Im not fussed as my new job is in the same town but whats it cost to fill up and whats people getting from a full tank?

Thanks for any input and hopefully joining the site again

Welcome HyperRain

What ive learnt over the last 15 month is the engine is pretty much bullet proof as long as a good history, they don't like to be run on low oil at all.

Usual spots like under doors and arches get a bit rusty

Mines pretty good underneath, just the sub frames that need tidying up. Bushes are known to ware here too. I've heard of other people's main sills rotting so check those.

Mileage wise depends on your routes etc in town 20mpg is the best you'll get, but once you're tootling along at 65mph you'll get nearly 40mpg

Im sat at 32mpg long term as 80% of my driving is on the A1 and get around 300 miles from full to quarter tank. I'm always using V Power and costs around 50 from quarter to fill, about 60 if near empty.

I love mine, its been my daily for the last 6 month since getting rid of my PCP, covering 8k-ish and its not missed a beat (touch wood) and I plan to keep going 👍

Hope some of the above helps

Think Ill more likely be getting it Saturday now 🙈 guy said it some back with 2 advisors one being the bushing and rear brake pipe on both sides has little wear so they want to get them now before the car goes. They going to try and get it done today but I dont think they will.
