I have a '54 plate ST220 V6. I have had it for just over four years and have always felt that the brakes were somewhat inadequate for the car that it is. I am given to understand that it is possible to carry out a straight swap upgrade with MK2 Focus ST discs. Can anyone please confirm (or refute!) this and if so give me the part details I  will need to order said discs? Many thanks.

Sorry, can't help with part numbers but I used focus ST MK2 calipers and genuine ford focus st MK2 discs and pads. They are a straight swap and as easy as swapping over the calipers, pads and discs

Genuine Ford discs and Motorcraft Ford OE pads are £145 delivered or EBC Grooved and Dimpled, Fine Slotted or Hook Grooved discs with Yellowstuff pads are £260.

Thanks for that PeteST, did the modification make much difference to your insurance cover? Most companies get a bit precious about them

If I remember rightly it went up a few quid a month and they classed it as "brake changes", I made sure they added the detail in the notes as brake changes seems quite vague
