Hi everyone this is my first post.
I own a st24 1998 and it has failed its mot on front brake pipes. Can anyone tell me how difficult they are to replace because ford have quoted £213 and most independant garages dont want to know or want to cut and splice the pipes.

You will be able to get it done much cheaper than that. The brake pipe itself doesn't cost much, infact you can get a Goodridge braided hose set for around £50. Labour shouldn't cost too much either as its not a hard job but the brakes will require bleeding, or at least on the effected caliper.

Thanks for the reply but i didnt know you could use flexi hose in place of steel pipes.

Sorry I didn't realise you were talking about the steel brake pipes, I guess the word "pipes" should have gave it away.
