Hey, after about 6months of owning my 03 st220, the gearbox has started to grate as I change DOWN gear, I have been to Ford but they said that itd cost £704 to have a look, not even to fix it!!!has anyone else had this problem???and help???cheers

Sounds like the Diff or selector forks are wearing out, more likely the forks. Although, are you having any other issues with gear selection? A quick check on the gearlinkage and adjust where necessary may be all you need.

If you need parts for this then i have spare forks etc...
