I didnt do it to cause offence, the advert gave me a bad feeling and i attempted to clarify certain issues. My main ussue was about a MIT exhaust, nice to see its corrected, as MIT make exhausts for motorbikes my mate has informed me. I was ****** you wouldnt clarify the type, I was seriously interested in the project as i love supercharged cars, but the answers were so vague that i just had a bad feeling of distrust. I am glad you cam on to clarify things and lots of respect to you as alot wouldnt. There are so many shisters on ebay that if a dodgey or too good to be true advert appears its hard not to question it, it helps others who like us love these cars for picking a lemon or incorrectly describled vehicle. As i said i know of several companies that would probably sort the SC issues, failing that as its a centrigugal SC which is very much a belt driven turbo design, you could talk to some turbo specialists.

Once again i ment no offence to you personally i was trying to cler up some bad feelings i had about the ad, your lack of straight answers merely made me feel more distrustful.

Hi Martin,

I am sorry if my reply to you came across as 'avoidant', i didnt mean that to be the case.

I would also say that i never realised this forum uses the word 'censored' when a bad word is said, hence why i thought you ommited that.

I suppose its a situation where you have 'rightly so' felt dubious' and i've probably taken that as a personal attack.

No hard feeling mate.

p.s any questions, and i will try my very best to answer them for you. (I have lived and breathed this car)

Cheers

Scott

Just to say also Martin, I contacted many companies in the UK (whom i would have loved to deal with) and all of them didnt want to know. In hindsight, i wishes i had came onto a forum and asked around.

My option of having it repaired by a company in the US was the BIGGEST mistake i have ever made. I have around 60 emails back and forth from the company coming up with every excuse under the sun, like the company he had made the new gears went out of business, the new ones didnt fit, then how he was off with a sporting injury. If i had my time again i would have bought another one or even a new one.

There comes a time when enough is enough, so i'm passing the baton on, and a ****** good one at that! lol

I'm sorry Scott, i didnt mean to come across as nasty. The guy you might want to talk too is 2strokecorkie on here, he has made hybrid turbos for the TDCI's and as the c-1 is very much like a turbo he might be able to help you.

I didn't want to start another thread for this car and I have a wee question.

Aren't the pipes for the breather and Brake Servo on the charged side

Hood Motor vehicle Automotive battery Vehicle Automotive exterior

and not on the vacuum side like this one

Land vehicle Vehicle Car Hood Motor vehicle

If that is my understanding then what are the implications for;

1) The engine internals (pressures and temperatures)?

and

2) Braking efficiency (is the servo working correctly)?

Don't for get this setup had a replacement engine due to a cracked cylinder liner, I wonder if it's related?

Always happy to be corrected and educated :nice:

Rite got it now, should have known because you said "Damo was a rum one" or something like that and I got what you meant then

So am I right or wrong about them being in the wrong or right place and if wrong, what could possibly go wrong?
