EBC are good when you bed them in properly, or get the discs pads and the full calipers of a Focus ST 225 and then fit EBC to fit them.

the braking distance will be a lot shorter a very lot shorter.

you cant go wrong with the focus st setup, the braking quality is far far better than the stock setup

just spotted a Pair of Front ST 225 Calipers on Fleabay, but he wants £300 for them - GULP!!

 

if you bide your time you can find them cheaper, 2 sets sold a few weeks back, 150 odd for one set and 190 for the second, try and find st3 ones

 

Fleabay- ST3 2010 MODEL 2.5 front and rear calpiers and discs £350 what do you reckon?? - just spotted it

 

you dont need the rear so on that basis, no not a good price.

keep looking and you will find a cheaper set, dont forget you have to buy EBC discs and pads for the focus or even mintex.

Not sure about with Mondeo calipers, but if you should go for the Focus ones, I would advise you avoid track pads unless you are going to be using the brakes very hard!

I ran some for a short while and though the braking was fantastic, unless you were braking very hard they squeaked like mad! They were designed for hard use, not normal road stuff.

As said, EBC seem a solid option, I tend to go with reds.

Good luck and again as said, if you can find the money to do the upgrade, you will really notice the difference.
